Global Purify Power launches its solar project

/ September 11, 2017

Global Purify Power (GPP)—a joint venture involving Cambodian, Thai, and Laos investors—started last Friday groundbreaking work on its first solar power project in Kampong Speu province, as part of the company’s plan to invest $400mn to generate 225 MW of solar power. The $10mn worth of investment will be the first step of the plan, and will produce about 15MW to supply an industrial zone in the province. It is the second solar power farm in Cambodia after the first launched recently in Svay Rieng province with 10 MW invested by Sunseap Asset (Cambodia), the local subsidiary of Singapore-based Sunseap International. GPP has had the license to produce solar power since Dec 2015. (Source: Khmer Times)
